Sirius leaned against the wall as he watched various students mill about. None of them were who he was looking for, however, and that made him more than a little glum. This was probably the first time in his entire life Sirius had been early for something- early wasn't a word in his vocabulary.
He scuffed his foot against the ground idly, and looked down at his watch. Five minutes until their agreed upon time. He had been good, not showing up wherever she was like a stalker, thinking that, even though it was a bear for him, the more he stayed away, the more she'd be begging for his attention today. Well, he was about to see how that little plan had worked. He had only glimpsed her in the Great Hall the last few days, and even then hadn't been able to talk to her. Or, rather, just didn't get up and go talk to her.
He pushed his bangs out of his eyes and leaned his head back against the hard stone of the wall. Three minutes...

Time had been slowly ticking away all morning for Madison, and the fact that the other girls in her dorm were milling about didn't help her. No one ever seemed to be in a hurry to do anything on Saturday, as it was the first day of the weekend and the first chance that many of the students got to relax and unwind from the typical pressures of school.
Deciding on simplicity as far as clothes went, she decided on well-worn jeans, one of her colorful - vibrantly purple - tops under one of her 'stolen' shirts, one of Nick's blue plaids. Sneakers finished the look, and she simply brushed her hair out and left it hanging around her shoulders.
By the time she reached the entrance hall, her watch read two minutes before the appointed time - and Sirius was already there, waiting. That was something unheard of.

Sirius looked up and grinned when he saw Maddie, straightening up and going to join her. "Glad you could make it." He stated, half serious. He had worried she might change her mind before today. Sirius was dressed casually as well, looking like a muggle rockstar in tattered jeans and a black Cannons t-shirt that he had stolen from James. It was just loose enough that it only hinted at his Quidditch muscled chest, but not big enough that it made him look scrawny, either.
"Shall we let the festivities commence?" He smirked, resisting the urge to take her hand. This was supposed to be a not-date-date.

"What, did you think I wouldn't actually show?' She lifted an eyebrow, not even having to recieve an answer from him to know that she was right. The game had been rather..mixed, and there were a couple occasions where she did rethink this.
But she was there now. "Sure, let's get going." It was obvious he was chomping at the bit to leave, and for once she could agree.

Siri couldn't help but grin. "The thought did cross my mind." He said honestly, sliding his arm around her shoulders as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
"Where would you like to eat? We have the Hog's Head, Puddifoots-" he wrinkled his nose in distaste at the idea of the sugary-sweet place, "or of course the Three Broomsticks." He led her up the stairs, heading towards the third floor and the humped witch statue.

Offering no protest about his less-than-subtle arm around shoulder gesture, she actually smiled a little about how..absurd this would have seemed about a week ago. Back then, Sirius had been nothing more than one of the wildest and female-crazy guys in the school, and she wouldn't have given him the time of day.
Oh, how someone's opinion can change. "Well, seeing as Madam Puddifoot's is too sickly-sweet for both of our tastes, let's go with the Three Broomsticks."

"Three Broomsticks it is, then." Sirius grinned, not even bothering to look and see if anyone else was coming before he opened the passageway. He let his arm drop from her shoulder, stating cheerfully, "Let's speed this up, shall we?" Without waiting for her answer, he scooped her off her feet and proceeded down the dark passageway. He knew this trail so well he didn't even need a light to know where he was going.

Letting out something between a laugh and a stifled shriek of surprise, Madison quickly wrapped her arms around Sirius' neck. Mostly it was a maneuver she used to keep herself from trying to smack him or otherwise commit violence for the trick, that and she didn't even try to argue. The thought of being dropped prevented that.

Sirius chuckled at her reaction, but didn't drop her. This wasn't something he usually did, because normally he couldn't stand if a girl complained about getting dirty going down dark passageways. Those sorts of girls were the type he got rid of pretty quickly. Maddie, however, he wouldn't allow to get dirty, at least not doing something like sneaking out. Not because he felt she was a trophy that needed to be shiny all the time, but because he felt that if there was anything he could do for his future wife to keep her from having to do anything she didn't have to, well, he would do it. That, of course, included carrying her to and fro from Hogsmeade. It also benifited him, of course- it helped build up muscles that would be put to good use in Quidditch.
"Here we are." Siri put her down at the bottom of the stairs, pulling out his wand and lighting the tip. "After you."

Regaining a clear mind once on her feet again, Madison drew her wand out of her pocket and held it out of some sense of precaution. Able to dimly see the outline of a cellar door above them, she ran a hand along the length of it and waited for a moment, making sure there were no sounds of approach from above. The last thing they'd need would to be get caught sneaking around like this - many students did it, surely, but it still wasn't a good idea to be seen. Pushing up with both hands, she managed to push the cellar door open and climbed out carefully, pausing just long enough for him to climb out as well.
Door shut silently after them, it wasn't that hard to sneak out into the main area of the shop with little attention given to their passing through Honeydukes. Only once out of the shop and out on the main street did she speak. "I don't suppose you make a habit of ferrying girls through that tunnel, do you?" A smirk showed she was teasing. "'Cause you certainly seemed to know what you were doing."

"Habit? No, but I think I should, since the first time worked so successfully." Sirius pulled himself out of the hole before shutting the trapdoor, then proceeded to brush off his jeans. "Glad to know my manly strength impressed you, however." He grinned putting his arm around her again and steering her up the stairs and into the shop. "Lead the way, my lady." He laughed, letting go of her to open the door of Honeydukes. Outside, a slight breeze pushed a newspaper past a few witches who were standing and chatting. Otherwise, they seemed to have the street to themselves.

"Charge so much per trip, double if it's more than once in a day. Might actively finance your supply of fireworks. Oh, and it should help you with those Quidditch muscles, not that you need much help." Why she had actually said that latter was something for her to mull over, but not actively. The aim was to enjoy the trip, whatever came of it, and also enjoy the time away from school.
As the street was largely quiet - sans the wind - she embraced that and watched the shops as they went past. Everything was a bit of a blur, and before she realized it, they were in the Three Broomsticks, which was seeing a good bit of business. It was the most popular tavern in Hogsmeade, and that was something that never changed.

"I'll keep that in mind." Sirius stated, keeping a straight face. He did laugh, however, at her comment about her muscles. "I'm glad you had something to preoccupy your thoughts during our journey. It's always... refreshing... to be admired."
Speaking of admired, someone needs to tell those two to get a room... Sirius thought absently, raising his brows at a couple that was snogging in one of the front booths. Wait a sec.... I know her!
Sirius stopped dead in his tracks as he stared at Lily Evans, unsure whether to laugh or be extremely unnerved. Wasn't she supposed to be with James? He had come back from their date the weekend before crowing about how much of a success it had been. And who was Lily with? He looked sort of familiar, in a hazy, I've-seen-you-in-the-loo-in-passing sort of way...

More interested in what was going on in the room at large than what could have possibly caught Sirius' attention, Madison looked around for a moment before looking at the table - and couple - he seemed to be scrutinizing. Then several things occured to her in rapid succession.
One, that was Lily Evans and her brother sitting at that table. Two, Nick was outside of the castle. Three, they were sitting close together on TOP of snogging. She had the presence of mind to be shocked, and it was a miracle she found her tongue. "Jared Nickolas Baxter, what the hell?!" Unfortunately, it came out a touch..shrill.

It took Lily a second to realize they were getting yelled at. Or, rather, Nick was getting yelled at. She pulled away from him and looked around, trying to find the source of the shrill noise."Oh shit." She mumbled, her cheeks turning as red as her hair. Of all the people to catch them out of the castle and snogging, it had to be Sirius Black and Nick's sister, Maddie. Bloody lovely.
Sirius just stared at the two of them, for once his tongue glued to the roof of his mouth. He would have found the situation extremely hysterical had Maddie not seemed so bothered by it, but as she was (and he was determined to feel whatever his beautiful future wife felt,) he merely frowned. "Evans.... nice to, ah, see you." He said mildly, raising his brows.
Lily rolled her eyes and buried her face in Nick's shoulder, wishing she could just sink into the floor and die right there.
