If somebody were to inquire about Jeanie’s style, the answer she is most likely to chortle and then answer something along the lines of “I just throw on the first thing to come out of my closet.” Another phrase that would apply is “quick and easy”, for Jeanie is content with throwing on a pair of bellbottoms, whatever t-shirt comes out first, and either sporty or platform sneakers. Her hair is either loose, falling straight down, or else tied back in a ponytail or bun. It is very seldom that the teen is wearing mascara, although she will occasionally make use of mascara.
The things lying around her closet are comprised of jeans, T-shirts in all different colors and patterns, track jackets, and pull-over hooded sweatshirts. At the bottom, several pairs of running sneakers and some platform shoes along with a pair of loafers can be seen. Jeanette is a very sporty person. The most common colors to be found are green, maroon, red, brown, and black. She enjoys hard rock bands, so several band T-shirts from concerts are present as well. Her idea of accessorizing is a small pair of gold hoops and a simple gold necklace, as well as a sports watch.
One area where Jeanie occasionally makes her mark is in the choice of T-shirt. She loves having the main color be a neutral shade and for the picture or words on the shirt to be a day-glo color. She also mayuse a limegreen, neon orange, or hot pink tie for her ponytail- one highlight of wildness in an otherwise very simple ensemble.
.Any other distingushing features. olive skin, a ton of freckles
Personality:
.Characteristics and traits.
Jeanie Trotter is a rather capricious and unpredictable teenager. In general, she is extremely amiable and gregarious, seeking the best in everybody. Indeed, her loquacious nature often lands her in trouble with the professors that get annoyed with her whispering and passing notes during class. However, she is not particularly gossipy- Jeanette is rather disdainful about those who disparage their friends behind their backs because she deems it mean and unfair. When she hears her own friends verbally shredded to bits, the loyal Jeanie will not hesitate to interject with her objections and the occasional sarcastic comment about those who slander those she cares about.
Hidden beneath all of the chatter and the horsing around is a very somber and serious girl who assesses the world about her and feels rather sad if it is not the ideal way that she likes it. Needless to say, the wizarding world has been leaving her despondent, although on the surface she is all cheers and smiles and bubbliness. She values her friends very highly and will do anything for those whom she cares about. The loyal Jeanie will stand up for a friend in trouble in a heartbeat
Aside from her Chatty Cathy proclivities, Jeanie is very hardworking when she decides she desires to accomplish something. For instance, she has high aspirations for her running, so Jeanie devotes a large amount of her time to getting faster. Sometimes, it might seem as though her running back in the Muggle world is all she ever thinks about. Furthermore, she discernibly yields the most effort in Defense Against the Dark Arts on account of current events. Jeanie has above average intelligence but seldom applies herself in the world of academics. In addition to the aforementioned chattering, Jeanie also tends to daydream, as she is rather fond of concocting stories and reminiscing about good times with friends.
.Hobbies. running, reading fiction, writing, flying
.Likes. running, reading, writing stories, climbing trees, swimming, soccer, exploring and wandering around, crank calls, rock music, chocolate, ice cream, Quidditch, experimenting with eating foods
.Dislikes. sitting still for too long, people who will not listen to her, sewing, cleaning, writing and reading forced upon her, jazz, corned beef and cabbage, gossip, lectures, miniskirts, being ogled at in a creepy way, people who are overly concerned with fashion.
.Strengths. running, empathy, dodging, hands-on experiments, very fast reader, large vocabulary
.Weaknesses. ] listening in class, lifting heavy objects, following verbal directions, understanding why she ought to always do her homework
Habits: fidgeting, spacing out when being talked at for too long, playing with her ponytail, eating toast with strawberry jam and a banana for breakfast, stretching before going to sleep,
Wizard:
.Wand. oak, unicorn hair, 10 inches
.Best subjects. Defense againse the Dark Arts
.Worst subjects. History of Magic, Arithmancy
.Pets. none
.History of character.
Jeanette Elaine Trotter is the only child in her family, daughter of Sarah (nee Venditti) and David Trotter. She was born on May 4, 1960 in a Bristol Hospital. She and her family have dwelt in a small 2-story brick house on Cottonwood Terrace the entirety of her life. They are occasionally visited by relatives from Italy and various areas of England and Ireland, but otherwise their house remains relatively quiet. Jeanie's father is a manager at a grocery store and her mother is a secretary, so she was generally with a babysitter up until about age 6, when her neighbors started looking after her after primary school. Her neighborhood has a lot of children. There are 8 others Jeanie's age, all boys, and the 9 have managed to remain friends and even survive the jolting transition from childhood to adolescence that generally destroys friendships from the primary years as new cliques are formed. The only difference is that rather than constructing secret hideouts and forts, the teenagers play soccer or simply loll around in front of the television, attend rock concerts, and play sports. When she began Hogwarts at 11, Jeanie found it hard to lie to her Muggle friends Giacomo Olivieri, Peter Ashby, Paul Bishop, David Nash, John Fitzpatrick, Andrew Pritchard, Neil Vaughan and Joseph Davidson.
Another set of Muggle friends that eleven-year-old Jeanie felt slightly guilty about fibbing to on account of her honest nature was her teammates in the local running club in which she participated and was one of the top 3 runners, the maroon and gold-uniformed Southwest Hawks. Jeanie joined this group at the age of ten, and when she went off to what her parents and she claimed was a boarding school specifically for descendants of certain Italian families, she continued to correspond with the coach through her parents as go-betweens in order to attain a rigorous training schedule to which she might adhere. On account of the intensity that Jeanie has when she decides she wants to accomplish something, she moved from being an "okay runner with a lot of unrealized potential" to one of the best in her age group. Jeanette's best events are everything between a kilometer and a 5k race, as she and her coach quickly learned. She ended up on the club team in the first place when the games teacher at her primary school noticed that the seemingly awkward and loose-limbed student was an extraordinarily agile and fast runner, especially for one without formal training. Her first year on the team involved slacking off to the extent where she almost got thrown off the team, several new friends (especially a girl named Joanie Patterson), and a stress fracture that knocked Jeanie out of the sport for almost 3 months, and rendered her determined to recover fully. Not only did she recover (in t Muggle way) but her diligence in physical therapy left her much stronger than she had been before the injury. This incident revealed an important fact about the girl- that she thrived in adversity whenever it befell her.
The owl and the messenger arrived in July 1971, when Jeanette had been eleven for two months and was excited to start the next level of her schooling- she had spent half the month proclaiming to any adult who would listen that "I'm not in primary school anymore!" She certainly did not envision that she would be going to a school of magic, in spite of a few strange things that had happened before she learned yet another hidden truth about herself- the fact that she was a witch. Once she recovered from that initial shock, however, Jeanie was very excited and nervous and anticipatory about this certain special new school. It was amusing to her because the newly burgeoning fantasy genre of books was her favorite- Jeanie would get in trouble for reading books of this nature under her desk when it was not talking and passing notes that incurred the ire of her teachers.
She also developed a certain reluctance to try hard in classes or put forth much efforts because she had 2 or 3 abysmal teachers in her Muggle school who misconstrued her as a troublemaker and did nothing but punish her. They very obviously did not believe in her, and so Jeanie shut down and developed a bad attitude toward schoolwork that carried over into her adolescence
In her beginnings at Hogwarts, Jeanie found the magical aspects of the castle "cool", and she rather enjoyed all of her classes. However, as time passed she began to whisper and pass notes and tune out the lectures more in the theory-based lecture. She loved the practicals and would thus try hardest, but sometimes the lack of theoretical knowledge would be to her detriment. She soon gained the reputation of a slacker on account of a lack of effort, as well as others assuming that she was a bit dim. Despite knowing that others thought she was a bit daft, Jeanie truly cared not- "Let others think what they want" was her mantra. She was perfectly confident that she had something to offer- whenever she chose to.
She hasn't had anything majorly bad happen to her- the worst things was a broken ankle when she was 10 and a few bad teachers in primary school.

The next student to enter the classroom entered slightly after the professor had began the lesson, resulting in Jeanette Trotter endeavoring to remain somewhat invincible. She walked around the ourside of the classroom and kept her head down and her generally gregarious mouth quiet, hoping that if she remained as unobtrusive as possible she might not get in trouble on the first day with this new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor- the sixth one she had experienced during her academic career in this school. In all honesty, Jeanie had genuinely intended to arrive on time. She had run into plenty of trouble with professors in the past on account of both her extroverted nature that made her whisper in class and inattentiveness to the watch she always bore on her left wrist both for running and timing purposes. Although it served her well on the track during the summer holidays, the watch remained woefully neglected in her everyday life. Thus ensued the situation of the moment, where the Hufflepuff got off on a bad start with another person. Contrary to what many professors believed, she truly did want to behave and learn and perform well- school just was not her style in many respects.
Especially this class. Events of the recent years had driven into Jeanie just how crucial this particular subject was, so the girl felt rather less inclined to procrastinate and slack off here than in classes such as Charms and History of Magic and Astronomy and the electives she had taken from third year to fifth year. She certainly did not fail classes- often- but she was hardly regarded as a stellar student.
Shooting a small smile at her friends in a sheepish manner, she assumed a seat in the back. Mercifully, getting to it did not involve climbing over classmates, as for once people had the courtesy to sit toward the middle so latecomers could sit without awkward clambering and jostling and squeezing. That helped her cause, which was to get off to a good start on her sixth year. Jeanie knew subconsciously she would have scored better on the OWLs with more effort.
Anxious to redeem herself, the freckle-faced teenager rifled through her bag as quickly as possible for a quill, parchment, and the course textbook, hoping against hope both that none of her friends would deign to send some whispering her direction and that the teacher might let the lateness go just this once. How strict would this new professor be? Only a few seconds- or perhaps, minutes, would tell? Would she be let off with the Teacher Stare, or was she about to be reamed out, complete with loss of points for Hufflepuff and detention? Jeanette knew she deserved that for messing up yet again, but hey- a girl could dream and hope.
Resting her pointy chin in one hand, Jeanie began to listen intently to pick up the jist of what had been said thus far so she might write it down. It was always a struggle to focus in class, but here, she would do her very best to pay attention and not permit her mind to wander.
