"I'm sure it's not so difficult. You just have to be honest with her, and to be yourself. Girls don't like it if you try to put on a show." She scrunched her nose when he mentioned the situation with Remus, bringing it all back into the forefront of her mind. "He didn't say anything. He sort of just... left. Class, or something." Or so he said.

"You probably just took him by surprise. If he didn't tell you right then that he didn't like you, chances are he is just to shy to tell you how he really feels." Parker shrugged. He smiled encouragingly. He knew how confusing feelings could be towards a friend that was a girl. "I don't try to put on a show. She's one of my best friends, so as far as she's concerned, our relationship is strictly platonic." he sighed.

Caddie nodded slowly, feeling a small trickle of hope settle in her stomach. If she had taken Remus by surprise, well, she wouldn't have been surprised, since he hadn't even known her name before today. And he hadn't said he didn't like her, or anything like that. Could it be that he was just shy, like Parker said? She tucked that thought away for closer examination later as she smiled at Parker. "Thanks."
"If she's really your best friend, she's not going to hate you if you tell her the truth. Who knows, maybe she feels the same."

"But," Parker countered, "if she doesn't, there goes our relationship. I am not sure that I want to jeopardize that."really really sorry for the shortness of this post, it's late and i can't think :[ (i just misspelled basically that whole sentence before changing it. )

"Well, it basically comes down to this- do you want to sit here and think about what you could be doing right now, or do you want to take the chance and possibly have the greatest time of your life? That's what it comes down to, if you ask me." Caddie scuffed her sandal against the marble flooring, the light making a small halo on her hair.

"You're right, but I just need to get up enough nerve to do it." Parker sighed looking down at his hands. He could only think in what-if's and all his results ended with embarrassment and heart break.

"Take a confidence potion." Caddie suggested, warming up to the idea. Hell, it just might help her situation if she took one. "If you act like you're all depressed about the idea, then she's not very likely to say yes, now is she?"

Parker laughed. He looked at the third year and grinned. "You know, for someone with continuous advice, I find it hard to believe that you are running from someone. You have definitely changed my idea about sharing your feelings!" Parker leaned back against the wall. He was some how feeling more confident than ever before. Some how, what Caddie had said sparked some sort of self-confidence in him.

Caddie laughed and shook her head, "Trust me, I'm better at giving advice than taking or following it. One of my many downfalls. I can talk it fabulously, but there's no way in the world I'd turn around right now and go find Remus."

"We all have downfalls magic cannot fix." Parker sighed, that was the one thing that really connected them to Muggles. Despite having magic, nothing in the world seemed any easier.
