Parker was staring at the very blank and unmoving wall. There was no way that there was a mysterious hidden room adapted to the seekers needs. Parker had heard the rumors throughout his five years here, but had never seen any proof that the room existed. But it must exist though, right? Magic was unexplained, even to those who studied it. Parker also found the deserted corridor intriguing, did no one head this way anymore. Parker had just recently discovered this passage as a short cut to many of his classes. Ah, well the mysteries of this castle would never fully be known.

"I don't think it's there." A quiet voice said next to Parker. The voice matched a rather small, pretty Ravenclaw girl. "At least, no one I know has ever made it in there."
Caddie gave him a gentle smile. Her one-eighth veela blood seemed on high alert today, as her eyes were particularly blue and her hair was such a color that an hour's contemplation still would not render a name for its particular color. It seemed whenever Caddie was particularly glum her coloring tried to make up for it.
Caddie herself had returned from her lunch with Remus on a confused note, and had promptly changed out of her uniform. She was now sporting a pink sundress and sandals, her many necklaces and bracelets tastefully chosen. They jingled merrily as she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Caddie Hungate, by the way. Sorry to bother you."

Parker jumped slightly at the voice next to him. He turned to the source of the voice, it was a girl, who he noted he had seen in Ravenclaw. "Parker Muir. And don't worry about it, it's not a bother." Parker said, he looked back at the blank wall, "I was just wondering how it chooses who it lets in and who it doesn't..." Parker stood up and ran his fingers through his hair. He was dressed casually in some dark wash jeans, beat up Converse and a dark blue button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He had finished his classes that day and decided he needed to get away from the Hufflepuff common room and the people he saw every single day. Caddie was someone new and he didn't mind her being there, he wasn't in the mood to be alone so he welcomed any sort of company.

Caddie shook her head, observing the wall herself. "I honestly don't know. Sometimes I think the whole magic room on the seventh floor thing is just a joke made up by upperclassmen to get a laugh at those who try to get in." She shrugged, offering him a smile. "Nice to meet you, anyway."
She leaned against the wall, wondering if she should just go back to the common room, or if she should stay and talk to Parker more. He seemed nice enough, and Caddie liked meeting new people. "Do you have a reason you want in?" She asked curiously.

"Not particularly, though I could think of reasons too. More or less I am just curious." Parker said, shrugging slightly. Parker was enjoying talking to Caddie, she was really nice, and didn't annoy him like most younger classmen did.

"Ah, an academic persuit then." She could respect that; she was a Ravenclaw, after all. "I should think it would be a good place to hide, if it did exist." She stated absently, leaning back against the wall. She was thinking of her current predicament with Remus, and the uber paranoid feeling that seemed to follow her around like a black cloud. It seemed he could be in every shadow, every classroom, every bloody where. It was exhausting, thinking of all the possibilities of where he could be.

"Hm..." Parker thought for a moment, "yes, a good place to hide, but a better place to hide things in...right?" Parker said his thoughts before even thinking if they made since. He immediately felt foolish, although to him, they were sensible. A room that could not be detected would be ideal to hide prized possessions, and steal time for a little bit. A great place to hole up with a good book, or good company.

Caddie laughed softly, wondering if his thoughts were a mirror of his own. "Do you have something you need to hide?" She asked curiously.
She was silent for a minute before saying, "I don't have anything I'd like to secret away. Just... myself. I'm trying to avoid someone right now." She didn't know why she was telling him this, other than she felt like she owed him something in return for the information she was requesting.

"Hm, I would love to hide..." Parker said thoughtfully. Of course he could think of things he wished he could hide...but was he willing to share it with someone? "I would love to hide the fact that I am pining after a girl who probably will never see me like that..." Parker sighed. He was shocked at his sudden confession. "How about you? Who are you hiding from?"

"Oh?" Caddie asked, staring at him. It was as if he had read her mind, then said exactly what she had been thinking aloud. "Might I ask whom? Of course you don't have to tell me."
She tilted her head so that her blonde locks hid her face, which she felt warming up as she blushed. "I'm, ah, hiding from Remus Lupin. Pretty much for the same reason." She confessed quietly.

"She's a sixth year...Gryffindor..." Parker said. He wanted to share his secret to someone for the first time (besides his sister). He wanted to move on from his crazy romantics, but somehow he couldn't not yet atleast.
So, Caddie was hiding from Remus. A third year Gryffindor, part of James Potter's and Sirius Black's gang. He knew of them, who didn't really. "You're hiding right, so you must have told him you liked him then" Parker guessed. While Parker was secluding himself from the humiliation of telling someone he liked them, he could tell the Caddie's hiding was different.
sorry if that didn't make sense.... i am a little tired today

Caddie gave him a grim smile and ducked her head slightly, surveying the jade bracelet she was wearing and absently running her fingers over the smooth surface of the jade. "Um, kind of. I told him I used to ask him... I don't think it went very well. So.... I'm hiding out."
While Caddie usually dealt with embarassing moments with grace, this time wasn't so easy. "Anyone I'd know?" She asked curiously, eager to get the attention off of herself.

"Erm...." Parker paused. Well, Caddie had already told him the problems she was having. Would it really hurt to tell her? "Jane." Parker mumbled into the ground. He felt suddenly very self conscious, and embarrassed. Trying not to show it, he looked up and stared at Caddie, as if daring her to laugh.

"Jane?" Caddie wracked her brain, trying to fit a face to the name. It was murky, and it took her a moment before her eyes lit up in an "Oh!" expression. "Jane Kenyon? The prefect?" She grinned, and though it looked for a moment like she would tease him, she said simply, "I like her. She's really nice, and she's pretty, too. You should talk to her."

"Good idea, but its so complicated, I can barely describe it." Parker sighed, trying to divert the attention away from him he racked his brain for the last topic of their discussion. "What did Remus do when you told him you fancied him?" Parker asked. From what he had seen from the 3rd year, Lupin was a rather charming and nice person. He could not imagine him being rude. "I could help you sort it out, you know, from a guy's perspective..."
