.History of character. Born the youngest - technically - of four kids, Madison seemed destined to be a spoiled and pampered little girl. This couldn't be farther than the truth, as she was always closer to the male members of her family, especially her minutes'-older twin brother. Her mother and sister both despaired when she started learning mechanic work at the tender age of five - Anthony, her father, ran a high-profile auto repair shop that saw a lot of business - not to mention Quidditch with male cousins on her mother's side. As she grew older, she didn't outgrow her tomboy stage as might have been hoped, but it actually became more pronounced. Homeschooled in the basics and normal childhood subjects rather than in a Muggle school as was tradition in her family, it was also no secret that a letter from Hogwarts was expected in her future. It came at eleven, as seemed to happen with almost every other prospective student in Hogwarts' history, and it was a very exciting premise - all because of staying away from home, family and an obnoxiously annoying older sister that had actually turned out to be a Squib. The only problem she really found with the premise was a reportedly-strict structure as outlined by her eldest brother, then a sixth-year student. Structure and rules were things that never had sat well with her, but they were something she grudgingly accepted by attending that first year.
SAMPLE POST
Rain, while normally a deterrant to most sane people going out in it, actually encouraged Madison's sense of need to go outside into the elements. Entirely soaked in a matter of seconds, she merely laughed and spun in a quick circle very much like a young child, jogging to the nearest tree to clamber up into its branches like a drenched spider monkey. Glad there was no thunder or lightning to speak of, she settled back against the trunk and swung her legs in an absent matter. The threat of course- and homework still loomed over her head, but it could all be forgotten in the thrill of nature and unpredictable weather. Bet Jared's going to want to kill me when I get inside. The thought of her slight push-over of a twin was enough to make her grin evilly. The two got along brilliantly most of the time..until one tried to make the other do something or listen to reason. Those were fighting words, and usually what led to explosive arguments. Well, if he's in the library, it's one more I'll win. Content for the moment in the wonder of weather, she closed her eyes and put her head back, humming one of those irritating kinds of tunes that got stuck in one's head and replayed incessantly.
