Twila waited until Severus had been seated at breakfast before she got to her feet, one slender, pale hand holding tightly to the golden goblet of pumpkin juice. She pressed the goblet to her lips but did not drink as she walked towards the Gryffindor table. No one took notice of her. No one ever did, until it was too late.
She had been watching Evans for a quarter of an hour now, long enough to figure out what she was drinking, and small little habits the girl had- such as flipping the page of her Daily Prophet with her fork hanging halfway between her mouth and her plate, syrup dripping onto the table from her pancake.
Twila sidled over, placing the goblet on the table as she snatched the plate of pancakes from right in front of Evans, causing the redhead to give her a dirty look. "Excuse you."
"I beg your pardon." Twila simpered falsely, still clutching the plate. "We're out." This certainly wasn't true, but one could never have enough food with Crabbe and Goyle around. Bottomless pits, the both of them.
She picked up Lily's original goblet, practically skipping back to the Slytherin table, pancakes and goblet in hand. She didn't so much as take a bite of her own food until she saw Evans lift the goblet to her mouth. Three, two, one...
Though love potions weren't Twila's favorite potion to make, they had proven useful. At least, useful enough that Twila had perfected the potion so that only a single drop would make the redhead completely, head over heels in love with Severus. Twila didn't care so much for the boy's happiness, so much as she wanted his help. And if he still refused after having Lily panting all over him? Well, Twila could always reverse the potion and tell Evans it had been Severus that had slipped it to her. He'd learn quick enough that Twila always got what she wanted in the end. He could either be rewarded for cooperating, or be punished. His choice.
******
Lily shook her head as the rude Slytherin girl walked away, deciding it was simply not worth it to fight her over something as stupid as pancakes. Besides, she had been finished with them anyway. She flipped another page in her newspaper and took a deep drink from her goblet, reading up on the Hollyhead Harpies. They had a good chance of making it to the world cup this year, and Lily would give just about anything to go.
Maybe Severus would like to go with me.... Severus? No, no, she meant Nick. Or did she? No, she definitely meant Severus. I should ask him. Now.
Lily got up, leaving her newspaper and food abandoned and marching over to the Slytherin table, which caused many people to turn and stare, but Lily didn't even notice. All she noticed was Severus, and she flopped down on the bench next to him as if she belonged there. "Sevvie, I think you should go to the Quidditch world cup with me." She stated, her eyes glued on him in the most peculiar way, as if she couldn't dare look away. "Unless of course, you don't want to- then we can just do whatever you want to do." She nodded seriously, leaning extremely close to him. So much so it was a miracle they weren't touching. Not that Lily would mind it if they were, but Sevvie didn't like being touched. Lily would never do anything Sevvie didn't like.
Twila smirked, resting her chin on her hand and raising her brows at Severus.

The typical morning sounds of rustling papers and clattering silverware on plates at the Ravenclaw table fell on deaf ears as far as Nick was concerned. Juggling his fork and a quill - one being used to pen out a response to a family letter and finish up the last few sentences of an extra credit essay for DADA, the other making sure syrup-soaked pancakes made it to his mouth - he was ignoring the sounds coming from the other three tables as well. Breakfast was never a time he used to even try and socialize, as there was a sort of quiet little routine he'd grown accustomed to following. Preparing for the rest of the day was paramount when one was so engrossed with schoolwork, and all thoughts of socialization came later in the day, towards the end of school hours.
A sudden intrusion into his little world order came when someone shook his quill-arm, startling him so that he jerked said arm and splattered ink across the letter face. Muttering an irritated curse, he looked up to see who had interrupted him - and saw worried grey eyes across the table from him. "What, Lexi? I'm trying to finish this here-"
"Have you seen Lily yet this morning? The question coming from the younger girl was a bit..odd, but the way she said it made him set his fork down and look up and around the Hall. He couldn't see Lily between any of the tables or along the edges of the hall, so he glanced towards the direction of her House table. A quick perusal told him she wasn't there either, so he scanned the other tables.
The last table he looked at, of course, was that of the green and silver. And there she was, a lioness amongst the serpants, sitting next to that..Severus kid she was friends with. "She's just sitting with a friend." He said dismissively to Alexis, looking back to his food and writing.
"Whatever you say." Alexis then murmured in response, though she was going to keep an eye on this. Nick was a friend, and she had a sinking suspicion that something else was going on here.

Severus had been spending most of the morning reading the paper and eating, but not much. He had almost been in a daze, and something had been bothering him, like something either really good or really bad was going to happen. Severus kept his eye on several people, including Lily and Twilla. He really felt quite apprehensive about Twilla's move. Somehow he knew that love potion was in that damn goblet, and he paled slightly when Lily downed pretty much the whole thing. Severus sighed, and hoped that he was wrong.
However, as it was just his luck, Lily soon marched straight down to the Slytherin table and plopped right down next to him, saying something about going to the world cup. Sevvie? God, how strong was this potion? Severus sighed and smiled at Lily. "Well, Lily, I'd like to go, but I really don't know if I will end up going. I don't really enjoy large events." He turned back to his paper, thinking about what to do. Bollocks. This really... What can I do? It's not like I hate the affection, quite the opposite, but if she ever finds out, I'm dead, and I don't want to make her unhappy, because I think she actually is happy with that Nick fellow. At the same time this is... just... Bugger. "Well, how's Nick, Lily? I'm surprised you don't want to go with him."

"Nick?" Lily repeated with a slight frown, as if she had a hard time remembering just who that was. "That Ravenclaw guy? He's not important. The only important person here is you, Sevvie.' She nodded seriously, leaning her elbow on the table and resting her cheek against her hand. "I can pay for the tickets, if you like. Or, if you'd rather do something else, anything's fine as long as we're together." She nodded seriously, making Twila choke on her pumpkin juice, trying not to laugh.
Lily didn't even notice her, placing her free hand on his."So what do you say, Sevvie?"

Nick was once again - very abruptly - drawn back out of his little bubble when his quill was stolen mid-stroke in a sentence he deemed very important. Letting out an angry sound akin to a cat being stepped on, he fixed the culprit, Alexis, with a steely glare. "If you don't give me my damn quill back in five seconds, I'm going to hex you from here to-"
Unruffled by the uncharacteristic threat, Alexis then stole his fork to get her point across. "If you have one shred of common sense, I would advise you to look at the Slytherin table right now."
Lifting his goblet of pumpkin juice to make further cursing hard to do, Nick turned and did as told - and just a moment of watching Lily next to her..friend made him choke on the juice. Inhaling that was one mistake he'd learn not to repeat, as it was very unpleasant. Unpleasant didn't begin to describe how he felt at that particular moment. Something was up, and he was rapidly approaching the stage of anger known as pissed.

Severus sighed. He was really quite torn right now. How was he going to chose between this? It was lovely, but... false. Severus glared at Twilla, feeling the urge to slap her. He turned to Lily. "Lil, look." Severus sighed, paused, and thought very quickly. Okay, so if I tell her I'm not interested not only am I lying but who knows how she'll react in the state she's in. If I go along with this, she'll kill me once the love potion wears off, because it will. Not only that, but her boyfriend will most likely be really not pleased as well, and he could also possibly be mad at Lily. ... Bugger, what do I do? It's all Twilla's fault, simply because I refuse to be her little slave. Bugger, if she'll leave me alone, I might consider it. "Lily, would you do me a favor?" First, I'll send her off; I don't know how she'll react to what I'm about to do. "Go back to your table and sit there for the rest of the morning; I would like to discuss something with someone else down the table." ... Lame excuse, bugger. Severus smiled at Lily, hoping that since she was delirious anyways, she'd just do it. He started to get up and place his things in his bag, still thinking frantically.
[THAT WAS SO DIFFICULT TO DO... NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP PLAYED AND I GOT RICK ROLL'D AND THAT WAS PLAYING WHILE I WAS POSTING SO THAT'S WHY IT SUCKS AND MY COMPUTER'S BEING DUMB SO I PROMISE I'LL GET BETTER]

The idea of Severus sending her away was extremely hard on Lily, and her perfect lips turned into the slightest pout as she continued to stare at him. If he asked her again, she would certainly go, but it wouldn't be with great enthusiasm. "Must I go back over there?" She sighed, gesturing absently to the Gryffindor table. Her house held no interest to her, and they were all so bloody boring compared to Severus.
Unable to bear the thought of being parted with Severus for even a moment, let alone the whole morning, Lily threw her arms around him, nearly knocking the poor boy over. "Please don't make me go." She nuzzled her cheek against him gently, not at all loosening her grasp. "You smell good." She said, somewhat muffled.
If he smelled good to her, it was nothing to how Lily smelled. She had taken a shower that morning, so her hair smelled very strongly of her shampoo, and her normal sent of apple blossoms was almost overpowering. Somewhere down the table, Twila could be heard to laugh at the mania she had caused.
Lily remained pressed against Severus like that for a moment before she sat up, perhaps a bit slower than she had been, and one almost wondered for a second if the potion was already wearing off by the strange way she was looking at Severus.
Apparently not. Before he could protest, Lily kissed him in front of the entire school. And a bloody good kiss it was, too.
((I just had to! XD))

Able to clear his sinuses and nasal cavities of pumpkin juice with little fuss - though he would be smelling it the rest of the day, understandably - Nick pointedly cleared his throat and turned back to see what damage had been done to his letter. Juice was splattered across it, making the ink run in places. Cleaning up the mess he'd made with no small amount of irritation, he almost decided just to ignore whatever else went on - at least until Alexis grabbed his arm again, rather firmly this time. "Turn around, now!"
Now beyond tired of his friend's apparent method of trying to 'help', he looked towards the Slytherin table for the third time simply to indulge whatever fancy she seemed to be getting out of toying with him. This time, though..he was rewarded with the sight of Lily kissing Severus in a matter that was decidedly several steps beyond simply 'friendly'. His girlfriend, kissing someone else, no less a Slytherin. With nothing to choke on this time, he strangled an angry sound somewhere between a snarl and a growl.
Face flushing - understandably - he turned back around and buried his face in his folded arms, ignoring the curios questions of those around him. At that particular moment, he was trying to figure out a sensible reason for this to be going on, one that wouldn't entail having to remove someone's entrails...painfully.

Severus simply couldn't take this anymore. He just wanted to know what the hell he had done to piss off the gods this much. Not only was the only person he really loved under a love potion made by the girl who was slowly becoming obsessive over him, the one person of whom he really loved was now delusional and kissing him and this was probably going to make things super awkward once she was 'cured.' Severus, having a very difficult time, removed Lily's lips and tongue from his own and tried to clear his head. Her damn smell was getting him confused. In this slightly confused, dazed state, he walked over to where Twilla was (still enjoying herself, most likely) and slapped her across the face. Normally, he wouldn't hit girls, and normally, he wouldn't be so irrational. This was just pissing him off.
"I told you to leave Lily out of this." He gripped the table so hard his knuckles turned white, and spoke looking down, trying to breathe and calm himself down. Twilla was lucky she was a girl, because if she were a he, then 'he' would have gotten punched in the face, and/or hexed from here to London. "Now tell me you have a damn antidote ready, or I swear to god I will spill your blood." Severus was thinking very hard. He added one little sentence he hoped would help convince Twilla to 'cure' Lily. "And if you can get Lily freed of this... state, I'll take you up on your little deal, if it means you'll leave the few people I like alone." Severus didn't feel like mentioning that the 'few' people was one person.

Lily gave Severus a hurt, confused look as he disentangled from him, but she only made a small amount of protest when he abandoned her for Twila.
Twila caught Severus' hand when it was less than a hair's width from her connecting with her pale cheek. She rose and flung his hand from her own as she stared him down. "You forget yourself." She said to him quietly, her voice positively venomous.
"Tsk, tsk, Severus. Do learn to take a joke." She picked up her goblet and took a sip, the smallest smirk crossing her lips when Severus offered her "payment" in return for the antidote. Well, she had warned him- she always got her way.
Twila set the goblet down and pulled a tiny vial out of her pocket, barely longer or wider than her smallest finger. In her neat handwriting was "L.P.A." "I should trust you know what to do with this.... and Severus? I will see you in the common room at seven tonight." Twila dropped the vial into his hand and sat back down, staring up and him and crossing her legs. "You have my word- I will never touch her again."
