.History of character. Born into a close-knit, but small family, Alexis' childhood years are times she looks back on very fondly. Her brother Eric, four years her elder, took some time to warm up to his baby sister when she was born, but the two eventually grew quite close. Always a happy child, Alexis almost always wore a smile and was perpetually laughing. These were two traits she kept up until she was seven, at which point her father - a Hit-Wizard working a particularly dangerous case tracking down a wizard that had killed over nineteen victims in three years, all due to personal grudges - was killed in the line of duty. This was a scarring event and Alexis withdrew into herself after that, adopting a more introverted approach to everything, in order to avoid being hurt so drastically again. Her brother was still able to see the happy side of her on occasion, though he was the only one.
As the time for her Hogwarts letter grew close, she looked forward to it greatly, as Eric spoke highly of the school and of the general experience of attending. It came the summer after she turned eleven, and during her first year at the school, she was subjected to many social situations and a sheer volume of people that she was highly unused to. While still keeping mostly to herself, she found she had a penchant for helping other students with whatever little squabbles popped up. This was something she became to be known as, a de facto peacemaker even for those outside of her House - if they wanted help, she would give it.
