"Uh, yeah, you." Caddie responded, her stomach doing an unpleasent flip as she tried to focus on cutting her food, anything but looking at him. Though she continued cutting her steak until the whole thing was in perfect little rectangles, she found she had lost her appetite. Since she was still staring anywhere but him, she completely missed his blush. Too bad, as it would have probably put her a little at ease over how ridiculous their situation seemed.
She offered him a very small, shy smile and shrugged, her eyes still not meeting his. "You're welcome, I think." She realized she had been secretly hoping he would say something of the sort in return- though the idea was a stupid one, things like that only happened in muggle films or those stupid cheap books you could get on clearance at the bookstore- but still, it would have been nice.

Awkward. Caddie wouldn’t look at him and Remus was stunned into silence….Awkward. Remus noticed he was still blushing and even had broken into a light sweat, which of course he blamed on his invigorating potion. Because the idea of Caddie, a girl he had just met, making him that nervous sounded ridiculous to him. Luckily, Remus looked up at the clock at the far end of the kitchen. “Oh we’re late for class!” he said, with probably a bit too much vigor as he broke the ice and jumped up from his seat. Circling the table, he politely pulled her chair out before returning to pick up his book bag. Heaving it up onto his shoulder, he looked at Caddie. “I have potions but the stairs aren’t far from here if you want me to walk you real quick.”
[Haha I just had a great idea. So we end this thread and while Siri is trying to convince Remus not to date Caddie he could say something that inspires Remus and he flies off to go tell her how much he likes her]

((hahaha, me likes. I'll even start the new Remus/Caddie thread))
"Class?" Caddie repeated vaguely, finally looking up at him. The idea of class had been so far removed from her mind that she had almost forgotten she was at school completely.
She stood when Remus pulled her chair back for her, trying to collect her senses. She didn't have class for another hour, but being in a different year, he just might. Or he could be lying, but Caddie could tell he wasn't. She was almost always able to sniff out a lie. It was in the peculiar little tics most people didn't notice, and though Remus seemed quite happy to run far far away from her right now, he wasn't showing any other sign of lying
"I couldn't make you late... if you just point me in the right direction I'm sure I can find it." Caddie said slowly, still looking lost. This time she wouldn't be reading as she walked, so she wouldn't need rescuing again. How humiliating.

“Alright, if you’re sure…” he said as he led her out of the kitchens. Yes, he was a bit surer now. She didn’t have feelings for him. He sighed but pointed down the left corridor. “There is a staircase at the end of the passageway.” Remus wanted to say something. He wish he had some line that was clever or charming. But nothing seemed to pop into his head and he felt he only had a few more seconds before she’d be off. “Thanks for having lunch for me.” He wanted to smack himself. Really was that the best he could come up with?
“And Caddie,” he blurted out. “I really hope to see you soon."
